Animates is New Zealand's leading pet care company with 48 pet specialty retail stores, 33 grooming salons and 15 vet clinics and growing.

You'll join our small, energetic Napier team that prides themselves on impeccable customer service. We like to have fun and enjoy ourselves while we work. We also have plenty of staff parking.

We are looking for a Dog Groomer to join our clean and modern grooming salon, with an established and loyal customer base.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity working 40 hours per week, from Tuesdays to Saturdays or Sundays to Thursdays.

About the Role:

You'll provide a "Paw-some Experience' to our customers and their furry friends by ensuring grooms are completed to the highest standard all whilst keeping the salon clean and hygienic.

With a large variety of grooming services available, it's important you are confident with correct bathing, brushing and cutting techniques for all coat types.

What we're looking for:

• Enthusiasm and passion for the care and wellbeing of pets
• One years' experience as a Groomer, or a qualification at level 4 or higher on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF)
• An exceptionally friendly manner to engage customers, build a regular client base and grow sales
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• High work standards and ethics
