About the role:
We are on the lookout for 2 x Pou Haapai Kounga (Quality Assurance Support) kaimahi to work in our Quality Assurance team. Quality Assurance is a vital part of our organisation to ensure that the quality of care is carried out through our enablement team so our frontline kaimahi can focus on what matters most: caring for our whaanau
As a Pou Haapai Kounga (Quality Assurance Support) you will assist in both in the Operations Support and Quality Assurance spaces with administrative tasks and physical outputs. This may from time to time extend to work assisting other units and/or work assisting the Senior Leadership.
This is an entry level Quality Assurance position. You will help with assisting with process and policy checks and audits, health and safety i.e. accident and incident management, and other general auditing and quality assurance work. The position has several Business as Usual (BAU) tasks such as ordering and procurement, vehicle fleet management and low-level auditing tasks.
Flexibility is a must for this role as you may be required to travel to between Taamaki and Waikato when needed. This is a full-time role from Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Develop and implement an annual quality management program in collaboration with the Operations manager
- Support business units in defining, implementing, and tracking quality indicators aligned with operational needs
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance frameworks
- Identify gaps in processes and undertake effective corrective / preventative actions
- Support all business units with the creation, documentation, and maintenance of effective processes and procedures
- Coordinate the internal procedure reviews and ensure these are approved, communicated, and stored appropriately
- Coordinate with HR to facilitate Health & Safety and Quality Committee meetings and maintain accurate meeting records
- Support new business units in developing effective and efficient foundational infrastructure, processes, and procedures, including the establishment of effective quality risk metrics and documentation standards which meet set quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Create, update, and manage procedural documentation in collaboration with relevant business unit stakeholders
- Ensure all documentation is consistently maintained in and The Policy Place (our current software's).
To be considered for this role ideally you will need to have:
- Tertiary qualification in Quality Management, Health Services Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Experience in healthcare or community service settings
- Experience in Relationship Management, Change Management, Customer Service and Data Entry
- Familiarity with systems like and Policy Place would be an advantage
- Confident in a tikanga Maaori environment or Te Reo Maori Competency (any Level preferred).
