Te mahi: The role:
Join Tātaki Auckland Unlimited's Performing Arts rōpū (Auckland Live) as a Programme Manager, responsible for coordinating an exciting annual calendar of performing arts, events, and experiences across Auckland's iconic venues and public spaces. You'll ensure programmes are strategically planned, resourced, and delivered in alignment with Tātaki Auckland Unlimited's wider vision.

This role plays a key part in integrating Auckland Live's activities across the city centre, supporting collaboration and innovation, and leading coordination of the Aotea Arts Quarter project

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating Auckland Live's annual performing arts programme across various teams and venues.
  • Managing project timelines, priorities, and resources to support effective delivery.
  • Supporting Director, Performing Arts with strategic planning, reporting, and programme evaluation.
  • Project Management of Tataki Auckland Unlimited's responsibilities for the development of the Aotea Arts Quarter project
  • Establishing working relationships across Tātaki Auckland Unlimited for citywide initiatives.
  • Monitoring progress and providing updates to inform decision-making.
  • Supporting Māori outcomes and integrating te ao Māori principles into operational practices.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You're an experienced programme or project manager with a deep understanding of the performing arts and live events landscape in Aotearoa. You excel at bringing people, projects, and ideas together, balancing strategic planning with hands-on delivery to create vibrant, well-coordinated programmes that connect audiences and artists across Tāmaki Makaurau.

Your ability to think strategically, communicate clearly, and build strong relationships across teams and partners will help ensure Auckland Live's programme continues to inspire and engage.

You will also bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in programme or project management within the arts, live performance, or events sector
  • Proven ability to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives aligned to strategic goals
  • Experience in strategic planning, programme evaluation, and performance reporting
  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills across diverse teams and partners
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • An understanding of te ao Māori and commitment to bicultural practice and inclusion
