We have an opportunity for a contract Infrastructure Architect to support a programme of infrastructure upgrades and replacements. The initial engagement is for 6 months with a preference for a resource to be based in either Wellington or Auckland.

We're looking for someone with broad infrastructure experience across compute, storage, virtualisation, and system monitoring, with a focus on on-premises and co-located datacentre infrastructure and platforms.

The role will involve three key areas of work:

  • Broadcom VMware VCF

  • Develop detailed architecture designs and datacentre deployment patterns for VCF components. Following a high-level design engagement with Broadcom, we need additional architecture support for design to inform upgrades and the implementation of a new VCF platform.

  • System Monitoring Reference Architecture

  • Review and complete existing draft architecture documentation for monitoring infrastructure services and platforms. Finalise documentation to support an upcoming procurement tender.

  • Compute and Storage Upgrades

  • Provide design guidance and support for hardware refreshes across multiple sites to replace out-of-support equipment.
