About the Internship:

We are seeking a
motivated Master's or PhD student (or recent graduate)
to join our engineering team for a
3-month full-time internship
based in Auckland. This role is ideal for someone looking to apply their research or technical background in AI to real-world problems in a fast-moving, startup environment.

You will gain practical experience working with
agentic AI systems
,
LLMs
, and
cloud-native tools
, while contributing to the development of next-generation AI Assistants.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the design and development of AI Assistants using the
    CrewAI agent framework
  • Assist in integrating
    LLMs
    (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face) into agent workflows
  • Help manage infrastructure and AI workloads using
    AWS services
    (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda)
  • Write and test clean, efficient
    Python code
    to support backend AI functionality
  • Contribute to experimental prototypes and internal tooling
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and collaborative development
  • Document your work and share insights with the team

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Currently enrolled in a
    Master's or PhD program
    , or graduated within the past 6 months, in
    Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Solid
    Python programming skills
  • Familiarity with
    machine learning
    ,
    LLMs
    , or
    NLP
    concepts (academic or project-based)
  • Exposure to AI libraries or frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, Hugging Face)
  • Interest in AWS cloud services and scalable computing
