  • Termination, testing, and certification of structured cabling
  • Basic network switch configuration and IP network setup
  • Installation of Wi-Fi systems and point-to-point wireless links
  • Integration of network infrastructure with automation, monitoring, and control equipment
  • Troubleshooting connectivity issues and ensuring reliable communication links

Automation & Control

  • Installation and wiring of PLC hardware (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, etc.)
  • Instrumentation wiring, sensors, VSDs, and field devices
  • Supporting commissioning, testing, and system optimisation
  • Telemetry and SCADA assistance (working with senior engineers)
  • Fault finding, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance

What We're Looking For

We welcome applicants from electrical, networking, automation, telecommunications, or IT–infrastructure backgrounds. Ideally, you'll have:

  • Experience with structured cabling and network installations
  • Understanding of automation/controls, PLCs, sensors, and VSDs
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and a practical technical mindset
  • Programming experience (an advantage), such as:

  • PLC programming exposure

  • SCADA scripting/configuration
  • Python, C#, or similar languages

  • Flexibility to work across varied tasks and support different project areas

  • Clear communication skills and pride in workmanship
  • NZ Electrical Registration is helpful but not essential

This role suits someone who enjoys diverse work and continuous learning.

What's On Offer

  • Competitive remuneration based on experience
  • Phone & tablet
  • Vehicle or allowance (negotiable)
  • Training opportunities: PLC programming, networking, instrumentation
  • A wide range of interesting, hands-on technical work
  • Strong team culture and long-term job stability
