Waimea College is seeking a motivated and organised Transition Administrator to join our Careers and Transition team from 26 January 2026 working 20 hours per week during term time only. This role plays a key part in supporting students as they prepare for life beyond school, by coordinating work placements, maintaining strong relationships with employers, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

*Work Placements: Liaise with employers, staff, students and parents to organise and manage student work placements, ensuring compliance with Ministry requirements.

*Administration: Provide high-quality administrative support, including document management, budgeting assistance, event coordination, and maintaining digital systems.

*Student Support: Assist students individually and in groups to help them achieve successful transitions into employment or further education.

*Communication: Maintain positive communication with all stakeholders, prepare content for newsletters, and support careers-related events such as expos.

You'll be an enthusiastic and approachable team player with excellent communication and organisational skills. Confidence with digital tools, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to relationship building will ensure your success in this role.
