Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Avonhead Village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident's daily lives.

This role is a part time fixed term contract, 20 hours per week covering 8th December through to the 7th July.

Typical duties include:

  • Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
  • Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
  • Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
  • Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people's lives.

You'll bring with you:

  • Experience in aged care or a similar role
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
  • Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
  • Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
