Disability Support Worker (Residential) [full time]

Are you looking to make a real difference in your community?

We are currently looking for empathetic and passionate Support Workers to join our team supporting people with disabilities in our residential homes. We are looking for a permanent Support Worker available full time including overnight and weekend shifts.

What does a Support Worker do?

As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support.

Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

  • Meal preparation
  • Community outings and integration
  • Giving medication
  • Personal care (showering, toileting etc)
  • Home management

What are we looking for?

  • Attitude - a desire to help and support others, achieving excellence in all you do
  • Previous healthcare or care-giving experience is essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Healthcare qualifications are advantageous
  • Requires a full NZ driver's licence and your own reliable transport
