We are looking for a candidate who would utilise their skills in our Auckland office by reading plans with an understanding of construction processes, preparing quotes and in doing so assisting to ensure projects are quoted on in a timely manner and in line with the requirement of clients.

This QS Estimator role is responsible for carrying out evaluations of plans to ensure an effective material supply quote is provided. This role has a strong customer satisfaction focus and relies on a deep understanding of building processes and financial risk controls. The duties of this role include:

• Reading plans and identifying the most cost-effective way for concrete products to be supplied.
• Measure/estimation and preparation of the quotation.
• Following up on the prices/quotes submitted
• Submitting the pricing on the required format and in timely manner.
• Communication between customers and operational teams.
• Monitor the upcoming supply requirements, resolve or escalate issues as appropriate.
• Liaise with sub-contractors where appropriate.

A practical mindset and willingness to share knowledge is a must. An equivalent Level 7 qualification in a related discipline is required along with at least 3 years  experience in concrete or the commercial construction sector . The successful candidate will need to undergo and pass a pre-employment medical including a drug test.
