To help us with this, we are searching for a Data and Insights Architect to join our team on a fixed term basis.

What you'll be busy with:

This role leads technical design of scalable, flexible data and insights solutions and interfaces that meet evolving business needs. You'll be responsible for translating requirements into data and insights solution architecture, setting technical standards, maintaining documentation, and supporting the Data & Insights team in delivering integrated, future-ready solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Architecture and solution design
  • Technical leadership/support
  • Solution requirements
  • Documentation standards and controls

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in full SDLC, including requirements, design, development, testing and support
  • Proficient in SQL Server and dimensional modelling for data warehouse development
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, standards, and implementation best practices
  • Skilled in ETL tools and methodologies, with experience across multiple ETL projects
  • Experienced in data manipulation and analysis tools
  • Strong communication skills with non-technical stakeholders
  • Relevant tertiary degree in information technology, information management, computer science or equivalent or substantial data and insights experience in a commercial environment.
  • A background in the finance or banking industry would be an advantage

This role is full time, with hours of work of Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm.

This is a fixed term role of up to 18 months to assist with a large programme of work. Our preference is for this role to be based at our Head Office in Invercargill.
