We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Commissioning Engineer
to join our dynamic team. This role supports the Engineering Manager in executing commissioning and installation tasks both within the home region and across New Zealand. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery and support of commissioning and installation projects, ensuring high standards of technical performance and customer satisfaction.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Commissioning Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing commissioning and pre-commissioning checks to ensure system integrity.
- Coordinate commissioning schedules with project teams to meet contract requirements.
- Carry out plant and machinery repairs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to service staff and junior team members.
- Program and support refrigeration control systems as needed.
- Ensure timely completion of commissioning documentation and contribute to project handover materials.
- Participate in engineering reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Need
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a tradesman – minimum 5 years
- Experience in commissioning and installation within engineering or technical environments – some training provided.
- EST licence
- Relevant Trade Qualification / 5+ years field experience within the refrigeration and air conditioning industry
- Experience working with Transcritical CO2 systems would be advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel nationwide as required.
- Clean NZ full driver licence.
