We're P&P Engineering Consultants, a 100% NZ-owned firm based in the heart of New Plymouth. With a team of around 40 talented engineers, designers and project managers, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional results across diverse industries.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior or Lead Process Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping both our projects and our people.

You'll be:

  • Leading exciting projects from concept to completion — your ideas will make a real difference.
  • Mentoring and developing our process engineering team.
  • Working closely with clients to deliver innovative, practical solutions.
  • Getting involved in proposals, tenders, and client meetings.
  • Collaborating with other engineering disciplines and designers.
  • Participating in HAZOPs and technical reviews.
  • Driving continuous improvement across our systems and processes.

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • A relevant Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
  • 10+ years of process engineering experience inc. HAZOP facilitation
  • Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and visual.
  • A collaborative, mentoring mindset.
  • A passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • The right to work in New Zealand (NZ residency or valid work permit required).
