We have a fixed-term opportunity until 30 June 2026 for an Analytics and Visualisation Engineer to develop data and visualisation application by bringing together diverse and complex data to advance our organisation's scientific value. You will partner with our experts across PHF Science to derive meaningful value from data.
In this role you will be involved in:
Development of scalable data ETL pipelines and API integrations to support the exploitation of diverse and complex datasets and integration with GIS enabled visualisations.
Prepare solutions for near-real time data collection, ingestion, storage and analysis.
Develop technical standards for development and deployments of analytics apps.
Contributes to requirements gathering and recommendations that align with best practices and future state design.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement for service delivery and solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in an analytics role that will enable you to complete the above tasks
A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT, Data Engineering or related discipline.
Relevant analytical coding experience, we use R/Python/R Shiny/Tableau/PowerBI/TSQL/Snowflake
Cloud systems development experience, ideally for data science or analytics purposes and Azure
Great numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Cross-cultural communication skills would be desirable, but not essential.
