Position Title: Facilities Manager

Salary Range: $27.00–$35.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Minimum Guaranteed Hours of Work: 30–50 hours per week

Prabh Horticulture is a leading horticultural business committed to producing high-quality crops and maintaining sustainable growing practices. We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of our facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. This role is essential to ensuring our operations run smoothly and our sites remain compliant, safe, and productive.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum of Two years' experience in facilities management, building or equipment maintenance, or a related field; or
  • A relevant Level 4 qualification or higher
  • Proven ability to manage maintenance schedules, repairs, and facility budgets.
  • Knowledge of horticultural facility requirements, irrigation systems, and agricultural equipment is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety compliance and building regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance management systems.
  • Current driver's licence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, operation, and safety of horticultural facilities, equipment, and assets.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for buildings, machinery, irrigation systems, and other infrastructure.
  • Supervise contractors, tradespeople, and maintenance staff to ensure work is completed to required standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor and manage facility budgets, sourcing cost-effective solutions for repairs and upgrades.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, facility issues, and emergencies.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and service contracts.
  • Coordinate facility improvement projects and upgrades to support operational needs.
