Waikanae Health Centre is a large Cornerstone accredited teaching practice set in Marae Lane, Waikanae. We provide a wide range of services for our patients – our vision is to provide high quality, accessible, affordable and sustainable patient-centred services to our patients and community.

Our Health Centre is a Healthcare Home practice ). and we recognise the valuable skills of all of our team and encourage everyone to work at the top of their scope.

  • Long term position
  • 8 sessions per week (more or less, it's about lifestyle and the work life balance)
  • Salary/contract dependent on experience
  • Start date as soon as paperwork is complete
  • NO on-call, afterhours or weekends (Our opening hours are Mon-Fri 8am to 5.30pm)

We are a vibrant GP medical centre just 40 minutes outside of Wellington on the Kapiti Coast. There are approximately 9000 enrolled patients cared for by a great team of staff. Including, nurse practitioners, nursing team, clinical pharmacist, healthcare assistants which provide extensive admin inbox support and of course GP's With an amazing administration team and awesome management team to make life a breeze.

Kapiti Coast has a great shopping centre and leisure facilities. It is from here where you can take trips out to the beautiful nature reserve of Kapiti Island. Mountains behind you and the sea in front, the absolute dream playground

New Zealand's harbour capital, Wellington is a vibrant cosmopolitan city, the best little capital in the world and nothing beats Wellington on a good day Wellington has an international airport and great links to other parts of the country and is only 40 minutes away

You'll need to have:

  • MCNZ Registration or qualification to register to practice in New Zealand
  • Received or be working towards vocational registration in general practice
  • Sound clinical and service skills enabling you to fully utilise your experience
  • Confidence in supporting a variety of ethnicities and cultures
