This is a permanent role where you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents through the power of delicious, nourishing meals.

As our Cook/Chef, you'll be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving a variety of menu items that cater to our residents' individual dietary needs. This is a chance to be part of something truly special.

You will need to work at least one weekend day, with no late nights and be available to start early - mid-January.

Where You Will Make an Impact

  • Menu planning and implementation
  • Food preparation
  • Adhere to food Hygiene and Safety

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement delicious menu programmes that meet our residents' individual food and nutritional needs
  • Prepare and cook set meals that are delivered to residents who can't come to the café
  • Cook short orders for the café customers
  • Assist with creating a beautiful café specials menu
  • Comply with the approved Food Control Plan and provide support and guidance to the kitchen team

Preferred Qualifications

  • A relevant NZQA culinary qualification or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cook or Chef
  • Sound understanding of Food Safety Plans

We are looking for this person to start early in the New Year. NZ Work Eligibility is required.
