About the Role
Waitemata District is seeking an enthusiastic nursing leader to take on the role of Charge Nurse Manager for Ward 9 at North Shore Hospital.
You will lead a team dedicated to patient-centred care, independence, and continuous service improvement. You will be responsible for effectively utilizing technology, coordinating services, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team. Proven experience in successful change management, along with a dynamic and innovative approach to nursing and service delivery, is essential. The ability to inspire and bring out the best in others will be key to your success in this position.
About the Team/Service/ Location
This role is based at North Shore Hospital. Ward 9 is a 34-bed Orthopaedic ward that provides specialist care for patients with orthopaedic conditions, including those requiring joint replacement, spinal, and reconstructive surgery. You will be leading a team of highly skilled nursing team who are passionate about delivering excellent care and achieving the best outcomes of our patients.
About you
- To be considered we will need the following:
- New Zealand Registered Nurse, with a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Post Graduate qualification in specialty practice
- A minimum of 5 years post registration experience
- RN level 4
- Masters nursing or equivalent preferred
- Leadership and or management experience preferred
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a senior nurse
