The Role

As a Water Treatment Operator, you will support the operation and maintenance of Council's water treatment facilities, including water supply intakes, bulk supply pipelines and storage across the Timaru District.

We are on the lookout for a team player with a can-do attitude, paired with the drive to learn new skills and concepts. Ideally, we're after an individual who has some experience with water treatment process and/or has completed/working towards an NZ Certificate in Water Treatment (Level 4). If not, we will support your training towards completing the certificate - earn while you learn

This is a permanent role offering 40 hours per week, with participation in the rostered 24-hour immediate response on-call team once you learn the ropes of the role.
