About the role

Interiors Limited T/A Hansens is looking for an experienced Cabinetmaker/Joiner to join our team in Palmerston North. This full-time role is crucial in delivering high-quality cabinetry and joinery for our residential and commercial clients across New Zealand.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manufacturing custom cabinetry to specified plans/drawings
  2. Reading and interpreting design plans to ensure accurate execution
  3. Selecting and preparing materials, as well as operating power tools and machinery
  4. Collaborating with designers, project managers, and clients to ensure project requirements are met
  5. Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  6. Maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a qualified Cabinetmaker or Joiner
  2. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting design plans and technical drawings
  3. Excellent woodworking skills, including the use of power tools and machinery
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
  5. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  6. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
