Are you an experienced Contract Manager with a passion for delivering complex civil projects safely, on time, and on budget? We're looking for a proactive, detail-driven professional to take ownership of project performance and lead from the front in a dynamic, growing team.
About the Role:
As a Contract Manager, you'll be responsible for the successful planning, delivery, and commercial performance of civil infrastructure projects. You'll coordinate teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is completed on time, on budget, and on spec, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has a solid grasp of construction methodologies and project controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery:
Lead the planning and coordination of civil projects to ensure milestones are achieved efficiently.
Oversee short- and long-term scheduling to maintain project momentum and address potential challenges early.
Work collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain seamless delivery.
Anticipate risks and implement practical solutions to keep projects on track.
Financial Management:
Take ownership of project financial performance, monitoring costs and productivity throughout delivery.
Prepare regular financial updates and support progress claims and variations.
Ensure supplier and subcontractor arrangements align with project and budget expectations.
Quality Assurance:
Uphold project standards by ensuring works comply with approved specifications and quality requirements.
Support teams with the implementation of inspection and testing processes.
Maintain strong attention to detail in reviewing documentation, drawings, and field results.
Health, Safety & Environment:
Champion a safety-first culture across all project activities.
Ensure procedures, assessments, and site inductions are consistently maintained.
Lead by example in promoting safe work practices and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project partners.
Communicate clearly on progress, challenges, and commercial matters to achieve positive outcomes for all parties.
About You:
Proven experience in civil construction project or contract management.
Strong understanding of project programming, budgeting, and contract administration.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar (preferred).
