About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Technical Environment Manager – SAP & Cloud Platforms to take ownership of a complex enterprise IT environment that spans on-premises, private cloud, and public cloud platforms. This is a critical role responsible for maintaining the integrity, stability, and governance of the organisation's technical landscape — ensuring that environment changes are well-coordinated, risk-managed, and aligned with business and project priorities.

You'll play a key role in supporting large-scale technology programs by ensuring smooth integration and minimal disruption across a hybrid IT ecosystem.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain an up-to-date view of enterprise IT environments, configurations, and dependencies.
  • Define and enforce governance policies and change control processes for environment management.
  • Approve and coordinate environment-related changes — including activations, refreshes, splits, merges, and data loads.
  • Partner with project teams to plan and manage environment transitions and cutovers.
  • Conduct technical impact assessments and ensure risk mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Collaborate with system owners, architects, and infrastructure teams to ensure technical consistency and stability.
  • Provide technical leadership across systems to support modernisation and integration initiatives.
  • Participate in governance forums and contribute to enterprise architecture and change standards.

About You

You're a technically strong, detail-focused professional who thrives on managing complex systems and ensuring operational integrity. You enjoy connecting the dots between infrastructure, applications, and governance — and you're comfortable leading discussions across both technical and project delivery teams.

You'll bring:

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of SAP technical experience (BASIS, SolMan, ABAP, or similar).
  • 10+ years' experience in enterprise IT environments, with strengths in change management, process optimisation, and project delivery.
  • Strong technical understanding of hybrid environments (on-prem, private cloud, public cloud).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
