About Us

OHMIYA Japanese Restaurant is a growing, authentic Japanese restaurant located in Remuera / Orakei.

We are passionate about providing high-quality Japanese cuisine with excellent customer service in a warm and welcoming environment.

As our customer base grows, we are looking for enthusiastic and reliable team members to join our kitchen.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking (fryer, grill, sushi prep, donburi, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
  • Work as part of a team to deliver dishes efficiently during service
  • Support other team members where needed

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen experience preferred (Japanese cuisine experience is a bonus)
  • Must hold a valid New Zealand work visa (Full-time preferred, part-time also considered)
  • Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn
  • Able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen
  • Team player with a positive attitude
