Reporting to the Head of Digital Services the purpose of this role is to provide leadership to technical teams enabling the delivery and development of quality technical services and support to our Ākonga and Kaimahi.

About the role | Te Kaupapa

Working out of our Porirua and Petone Campuses you will be responsible for leading both an application and cloud team of technical specialists. Tasked with understanding the customer's needs, business objectives and desirable outcomes, the Digital Technology Manager, will oversee the timely service delivery of client-focused solutions and ongoing support of operational activities.

We operate configured and integrated commercial off the shelf and cloud software solutions and platforms rather than development in-house and we are looking for a candidate that has experience building relationships with third party support companies. Having business engagement and process skills you will be at ease forming a strong understanding of the underlying business capabilities you support and creating great working relationships both internally and externally.

You will be responsible for delivery of project and change work within the team and the balance of those works within your teams alongside operational activity. Strong and effective communications, prioritisation and focused objectives are critical to that delivery and a providing a clear roadmap for your teams to operate within. Your team will look to you to set the tone, build positive team culture and coach to enable them to do great things, whilst having fun.

Your exceptional relationship management will be evident, along with staff support, technical knowledge, and commitment to continual service improvement.
