Kerikeri Cruising Club is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced candidate to join our team and take on the responsibility of managing and operating our restaurant and bar catering to club members and visitors located at the beautifully located Kerikeri Cruising Club, Doves Bay. Just 15 minutes from central Kerikeri.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, Prepare and cook meals including menu & recipe development, ensuring quality and presentable dishes.
· Maintain a high standard of service ensuring a welcoming environment for members and guests.
· Manage food and beverage supplies & reorders. Work to maintain profitable trading through control of costs/food wastage.
· Manage assistant staff, set expectations and train where required.
· Work with the KCC Committee and staff to develop and expand the food and services offered, with potential to host/cater for special events.
· Develop strategies for increasing revenue and member engagement
· Ensure compliance with NZ Liquor licencing legislation, health and safety and standard food hygiene practices.
Candidate Profile:
· Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant environment. Additional Bar and Restaurant management – menu creation, staff management & budgeting would be desirable.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the club
· Enthusiastic to grow the clubs offering whilst maximising the club's location and beauty.
Must be able to work over weekends and some public holidays
