St Ignatius of Loyola Catholic College is seeking a dedicated Groundsman with a passion for gardening and a commitment to maintaining beautiful, welcoming outdoor spaces for our students, staff, and visitors. As a new and rapidly developing school, we take great pride in our environment, and we are looking for someone who will help nurture it with care and attention.

This part-time position is responsible for the presentation, upkeep, and general maintenance of the college grounds. The successful applicant will work closely with school leadership and staff to ensure the outdoor environment remains safe, tidy, and visually appealing throughout the year.

• Maintain and care for all college gardens, including planting, pruning, weeding, and general garden upkeep.
• Mow lawns, edge boundaries, and manage green waste.
• Carry out water blasting of paths, walkways, and exterior surfaces as needed.
• Sweep and tidy entrances, outdoor areas, and high-traffic zones..
• Ensure all work is carried out safely, following school and workplace health and safety procedures.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience in gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance.
• Takes pride in creating well-kept, attractive outdoor spaces.
• Is reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Is comfortable using equipment such as lawnmowers, weed-eaters, and water blasters.
• Brings a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a friendly, supportive team.
• Is physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role.

• Part-time: 15–20 hours per week (negotiable depending on the successful applicant).
• Hours can be spread across the week to suit both the college and the candidate.
