We are hiring an
AI Engineer
to help us build, ship, and scale the applied AI capability across the Ellavait portfolio. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys moving fast, building real product, and using modern AI tooling to multiply engineering output.

What you will work on

• Build AI-powered workflows across the
  Ellavait product portfolio
  , focused on practical outcomes for customer-facing teams and leadership.
• Design and implement agentic patterns that automate repetitive work (updates, summaries, next steps, pipeline hygiene, and decision support).
• Develop robust AI integrations with our product architecture (APIs, data layer, security boundaries, multi-tenant design).
• Create evaluation approaches for quality, reliability, and safety of AI features (testing, guardrails, monitoring).
• Partner with product and engineering to turn customer problems into shippable features quickly and cleanly.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear solution designs, including light-weight discovery and analysis where needed.

• The portfolio gains a consistent "intelligence layer" across client data, analytics, and productivity workflows.
• We build a repeatable delivery engine where AI tooling improves speed without compromising quality.

What we are looking for

• Strong engineering fundamentals (backend and APIs, data modelling, system design).
• Applied experience with LLMs and modern AI development patterns (prompting, tool/function calling, RAG, agent orchestration, evaluation).
• A strong understanding of CRM systems and customer-facing processes. Experience with Salesforce is highly regarded.
• Comfort working across product surfaces, from prototypes to production-grade implementations.
• A pragmatic approach to privacy, security, and responsible AI in a commercial environment.
• Clear communication and a bias for execution.

Nice to have

• Hands-on Salesforce experience (admin, developer, consultant, architect, or strong delivery exposure).
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, including dashboarding and insight consumption patterns.
• Experience with modern web stacks and cloud-native architecture (FastAPI, Postgres, React, TypeScript or similar).
• Experience building in multi-tenant SaaS environments.
• Analytics and data engineering exposure (pipelines, semantic models, integration patterns).
• Business Analysis capability. You can structure ambiguous problems, define requirements, and align stakeholders.
• Client-facing experience. You are comfortable working directly with customers to understand needs and deliver outcomes.

Location and working style

Auckland-based preferred, but we are open to remote within New Zealand for the right person.
