About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Greenkeeper to join our team at The Pines Golf Course in Whangarei Heads, Northland. We are looking predominantly for a person to look after our greens whilst inputting into the ongoing maintenance and development of the course. This is a part-time position, offering flexible hours and including early starts and weekends if required. We are also prepared to look at a potential fulltime role if the right applicant applies. As the Greenkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the pristine condition of our golf course, ensuring our members and visitors enjoy an exceptional golfing experience.
What you'll be doing
- Overseeing all aspects of greens
- Operating various grounds equipment and machinery
- Identifying and addressing any issues or problems with the course, such as irrigation, drainage, weed control and greens
- Participating in the planning of ground's maintenance and improvement projects
- Adhering to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
What we're looking for
We are looking predominantly for a person to look after our greens whilst inputting into the ongoing maintenance and development of the course.
- Previous experience as a Greenkeeper or in a similar ground's maintenance role
- Knowledge of golf course maintenance practices and techniques
- Proficiency in operating various grounds equipment and machinery
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a high-quality golf course
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture, turf management, or a similar field
