Commercial Foreman

We're excited to be underway with a number of Lifestyle Village projects in Canterbury, and we're looking for a motivated Commercial Foreman to continue bringing this vision to life.

We are committed to giving our customers the best building experience in New Zealand. As a Commercial Foreman on our Lifestyle Village sites, you'll be at the heart of delivering high-quality village centres, RV car parks, and associated light commercial works that make a real difference to the village project. You'll work closely with our Project Managers, taking ownership of day-to-day operations, coordinating subtrades, and ensuring every commercial project runs smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of light commercial projects within our Lifestyle Villages
• Manage the receiving and recording of deliveries and materials, keeping everything organised and accounted for
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and up to standard
• Maintain quality control across all works, including subtrades and finishing details
• Coordinate site inspections to meet building consent requirements
• Champion health and safety, ensuring hazards are identified, managed, and minimised for everyone on site
• Stay up to date with industry developments and apply best practices on every project
• Build strong relationships with customers, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the build
• Pitch in with hands-on support for builders when needed

About you

• Relevant industry qualification or extensive relevant experience in residential/light commercial building.
• Experience of construction sites and an understanding of the build process
• Service-driven and solution-oriented, with a knack for problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Comfortable with technology, including Microsoft Project and other site management tools
• Able to prioritise, multitask, and manage risk in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative and people-focused, able to engage and motivate teams to achieve great results
• Safety-first mindset, always looking out for your team and positively influencing others
• Self-motivated, with a positive, can-do attitude
