About Gutter Rescue

We are a local and trusted company with over 28 years' experience in providing roofing maintenance & repairs, gutter cleaning, permanent gutter protection solutions and installing "at height" roofing safety systems for homeowners, property managers and body corporates throughout Otago and Southland. As a small, family-run business, we take pride in quality workmanship, reliability, and a great team culture. We're now looking for a hardworking, practical individual to join our Queenstown Lakes team as a Gutter Cleaner.

About the role

This is a hands-on, full-time position suited to someone who doesn't mind getting dirty and enjoys working outdoors. The work can be repetitive at times, but you'll be helping protect homes from water damage and keep our customers' properties in top shape.

What you'll be doing:

  • Cleaning gutters
  • Installing Gutter Solutionz mesh
  • Assisting the team with roof maintenance and repairs, including installing flashings, roofing iron, and carrying out leak detection and repairs

You'll need:

  • A Full NZ Driver's Licence (must be confident driving manual vehicles)
  • A good level of fitness - some heavy lifting is involved
  • Working at Heights and/or Site Safe certification is an advantage, but not essential
  • A reliable, practical attitude and a willingness to learn

Benefits

Joining our team means being part of a supportive, flexible workplace that values loyalty and effort. You'll enjoy:

  • Paid overtime
  • Rain days paid (if you work less than 35 hours for the week)
  • Work vehicle and phone provided
  • All tools supplied
  • Paid days off (outside your regular leave allowances)
  • Christmas bonus
  • Team meals and events
  • Further training opportunities
  • Flexible scheduling - choose or adjust your daily jobs when needed (e.g. appointments or personal commitments)
  • Autonomy and trust - you'll be treated as a valued team member, not just a number

If you're reliable, enjoy working outdoors, and take pride in doing a good job, we'd love to hear from you.
