The Data Team at Oranga Tamariki is building the future of data—developing modern reporting solutions, optimising our new data lakehouse, and consolidating legacy systems to better serve our organisation.

We're looking for a talented Senior Technical Business Analyst to:

• Review our existing suite of business reporting from our organisation data warehouse
• Collaborate with other members of the Data Team and across the organisation to help gather, analyse, and document business rules, data standards and data quality requirements from business and technical stakeholders
• Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders to capture existing critical reporting requirements
• Advise on improvements to improve alignment of reporting with enterprise and data warehouse models.
• Define report security and privacy classification and retention rules for reports.
• Identifying opportunities to partner with data and analytics teams to ensure data standards and business rules are embedded in systems and reporting solutions

Key requirements of the role include:

• Ability to capture business goals/needs effectively. Clarify and develop objectives and key issues in a structured manner.
• Experience in collecting, documenting, interpreting, analysing and confirming reporting specifications.
• Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to shifting/multiple demands and opportunities.
• Business focus with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
• Strong change and problem management skills taking ownership when needed to see change through to completion.
• Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills, with experience of delivering business reporting.
• Self-motivated, with good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload.
