Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role 

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Senior Prospect Researcher to join the operations team in Te Kura Tangata - Development and Alumni Relations Office on a 13-month, fixed-term, full-time contract.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide timely, considered, and informative research on prospective donors for Te Kura Tangata - Development and Alumni Relations Office. 
  • Develop proactive strategies to identify and build a pool of potential major gift prospective donors. 
  • Analyse and present research findings via written reports, lists, tables, or visual reports.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director, Fundraising on portfolio management and moves management processes.

  • Undertake due diligence research and ensure compliance with due diligence and gift acceptance policies.

You will be a motivated, detail-oriented individual who can take the initiative, work collaboratively, and think strategically.  

Key requirements:

  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written communication, with the ability to produce high-quality content.
  • Strong data and systems proficiency.

  • Familiarity with emerging AI research technologies with a willingness to innovate.

You'll work onsite (with one day a week work-from-home flexibility), joining our supportive, friendly, and professional team.
