The Andersen Partnership have been instructed to find a Special Counsel level Lawyer to join a dynamic, full service law firm that has built an outstanding reputation across New Zealand.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an established lawyer looking to leverage their network within a collaborative and growing practice.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you'll enjoy greater independence, leading complex corporate and commercial matters, managing high-value transactions, and delivering strategic legal advice across a diverse client base.

  • Providing expert legal advice on complex corporate and commercial matters.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating detailed commercial contracts — including sale and purchase agreements, shareholder and partnership agreements, and joint ventures.
  • Advising on company structures, mergers and acquisitions, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conducting due diligence and identifying commercial and regulatory risks.
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a high-performance and supportive culture.

About You:

  • 8 Years + PQE in Corporate & Commercial law
  • Commercially minded with a desire to grow your own practise
  • Proven leadership capability and an ability to manage client relationships at a senior level
