Role Overview 

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors. In this role, you will ensure smooth reception and administrative operations, support clinical teams, maintain accurate records, and assist with revenue collection—playing a vital part in the delivery of high-quality care.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver warm, welcoming, and culturally sensitive service to patients and families.

  • Manage appointment scheduling, recalls, and follow-ups.

  • Process payments, claims, and invoices, and reconcile daily banking.

  • Maintain accurate patient records in clinical management systems (e.g., MedTech 32 or Evolution).

  • Assist with daily operational and administrative tasks, office coordination, and staff training on systems.

  • Adhere to health, safety, and workplace regulations while supporting overall practice efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience in reception, administration, or a medical/healthcare setting.

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, FileMaker, and clinical booking systems.

  • Cultural competence, particularly an understanding of Pacific values, beliefs, and protocols. Pacific language skills are a plus.

  • Attention to detail in financial and administrative tasks.
