Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

This role sits within our Private Bank Team, who cater specifically for the needs of the Banks high net worth individuals and families.

You will work closely with Private Bankers and other Senior Associates, supporting comprehensive banking solutions for our clients immediate and future needs.

What are the key day to day tasks the person in this role would complete?

  • Proactive administration support covering all aspects of Private Banking client requirements.
  • Client relationship management alongside Private Bankers and internal and external stakeholder management as required.
  • Engage with colleagues to work collaboratively as a high performing team and contribute to a successful team culture.
  • Credit writing and all parts of credit administration.
  • Implementation of risk processes, policies and controls.

What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?

A solid understanding of a broad range of banking principals, credit writing and knowledge of banking systems is essential to this role. You will be solutions focused with excellent problem- solving skills. You will have great communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills.

It is essential that you have a customer-focused attitude and a proven track record in managing workflow and prioritising time critical tasks.

This is a very diverse role where no day is ever the same, and you're often juggling numerous priorities. Accuracy is key and so is keeping across every-changing regulatory and process requirements. You will be committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for colleagues and customers.

We work in a fast-paced, changeable environment where support of each other is essential. Our team is a high performing experienced team who are very passionate about what they do and this is reflected in our collaborative culture.

Although this role is based out of our office in Christchurch CBD, we have a geographically spread team, so your ability to work autonomously is critical, as well as being able to build relationships virtually.
