Te Whānau o Waipareira has been providing integrated health, housing, legal and education services to West Auckland whānau for over 40 years. Our Wai Health Clinic is a kaupapa-centred space where whakapapa, culture, and whānau wellbeing sit at the heart of everything we do. 

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Practice Nurse to join our Wai Clinic team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic chance to contribute meaningfully to Māori hauora, care for the community you know and love, and work in a supportive environment that values your expertise and cultural connection.

What you'll bring

  • Registered Nurse (NZ NCNZ) with current practising certificate and demonstrated primary health care or general practice nursing experience.
  • A strong understanding of Māori health, tikanga Māori and intersecting whānau dynamics.
  • Knowledge of the West Auckland community and ability to engage with whānau in a whakawhanaungatanga way.
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with kaimahi and whānau, and a positive, solution-focussed mindset.
  • Flexibility to support clinic needs within normal business hours (no evenings/overnights required).
