Warehouse storeman

Materialspace imports and supplies top end stone and tile products.  We are well known and have a very nice working environment with a great culture.

We require a reliable, experienced warehouse storepersonto join our team.  This is a full time permanent role based at our Mt Wellington warehouse between Monday and Friday and the hours are between 8.00am and 4.30pm.

As we have a small team, there are also career progression opportunities for the right candidate.

This is a varied and interesting hands-on role where you will be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations and customer delivery that are detailed below:

·      Receiving incoming stock

·      Devanning open top containers

·      Operating a forklift

·      Operating an overhead gantry crane

·      Picking packing and dispatching orders

·      Loading stock securely onto a truck and delivering it to our customers

·      Maintaining a clean warehouse space

To be successful in this role you will be

·       Fit and able to lift up to 25kgs

·       Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.

• Somone that knows how to handle expensive and fragile material without damaging it

Our preferred candidate will have the following:

a)    A full New Zealand driver's licence

b)   A current forklift licence

c)    Be confident independently loading, strapping and driving our 3 tonne manual gearbox delivery truck.

d)   Hold an MPI Accredited Person certificate

e)    Gantry crane certificate or prior experience operating a gantry crane

f)     Potentially have previous experience working in a stone slab or a sheet glass warehouse

Successful applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and undergo a Ministry of Justice check.
