Established in 1998, Matthews Packaging & Hygiene has been supplying New Zealand packaging & hygiene products since this time. From small entrepreneurial beginnings, owner Paul Matthews started the business selling one product, packaging tape from his van. Today Matthews Packaging & Hygiene is an industry leader. Our company owns outright several operational warehouses within Auckland and has a ranging fleet of distribution vehicles. We believe we can solve any packaging problem or challenge.

You will be responsible for:

As the South Island sales representative for Matthews Packaging & Hygiene, the main purpose of your role will be to sell and promote our products.

While developing and maintaining existing relationships, you will be expected to generate new business, reach regional monthly targets and contribute to the overall company goals.

Key tasks for this role include: achieving budget expectations, producing quotes, developing proposals and presenting the business to new customers.

What is required:

  • Immaculate listening skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Working numeracy skills
  • Ability to think outside the square
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Office Suite including, Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Weekly travel throughout the South Island Region

This role ideally requires previous experience in the industry in order to grasp the extent of the range we are able to provide customers, however we are a company committed to personal development for those interested in new opportunities.
