Inspector - Motueka

Are you passionate about horticulture and ready to grow your career as an Inspector/ Auditor at SGS? We're looking for a motivated Inspector to join our team in Motueka, servicing the wider Tasman region.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a Level 4 National Certificate in Horticulture (or related discipline), some hands-on experience, and a genuine interest in horticulture inspections. What You'll Be Doing:

• Assist with planning and conducting inspection activities.
• Support phytosanitary inspections & endpoint certifications
• Advance towards  GlobalG.A.P. auditor Certification
• Ensure inspection documentation is clear, accurate, and completed on time
• Take part in training programmes and assessments to build technical knowledge
• Administration tasks
• Deliver excellent customer service to support and grow our services

• Level 4 National Certificate in Horticulture or related discipline (required)
• Experience in agricultural product inspections is advantageous
• Management Systems Lead Auditor qualifications (e.g., IRCA) are a bonus
• Relevant Food Safety, Internal Auditing, and HACCP qualifications are desirable
• Ability to understand and apply quality assurance procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic database management
• Current and unrestricted NZ driver's licence
• Must be based in Motueka or nearby within the Tasman region
• Willingness to travel within the region and occasionally outside it
