The Opportunity
We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Compliance and Reliability Technician to join our Alison Laboratory team. This newly created role is ideal for someone with a background in appliance or electrical testing, and a passion for product reliability. You'll be responsible for testing, validating, and iterating on electrical and electronic components / products to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with design specifications. Your insights will directly inform design improvements and product innovation.
The Fit
You might be an experienced appliance or electrical technician, or a recent engineering graduate with a strong interest in lab-based testing. You'll thrive in a small, collaborative team and enjoy working independently to meet testing deadlines.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant qualification
1–2 years of lab experience (or equivalent practical experience)
Familiarity with electronics design and EMC
Strong fault diagnosis skills in electronic circuits
High level of computer literacy
Excellent communication and documentation skills
A proactive, independent working style
