We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Assistant Manager to join our Mainstream Sales team in Auckland, NZ. The Assistant Manager, Mainstream Sales will be responsible for delivering sales strategies and promotional plan activities to meet sales revenue and brand's objectives.

This is a permanent full time (40 hours guaranteed per week) position based in Auckland

Primary responsibilities

  • Maximizing market share, volume and revenue in assigned channel for NZ which includes Retail, Convenience stores, Independent wholesalers in retailing & food service businesses
  • Introduction new lines and increase core ranging in both retail & food service channel
  • Develop and execute Key Account Management Promotional Plans if any and tailored made based on local needs
  • To ensure In Store Activation and Promotional Programs are successfully implemented at marketplace in driving sales volume and exceeding OM's sales & brand's objectives
  • Managing product pricing and ensuring profit margin is sustainable for both Retail & Food Service channels
  • Maintaining strong relationship and presenting promotional plans with all assigned Customers
  • Provide & ensure accurate product forecasting to meet sales trends, customers & suppliers need
  • Work with OM's sourcing team in preparing for new products for new lines ranging
  • Work closely with OMNZ's operation dept to manage stock and supply so as to achieve a balance service level to key customers and healthy stock holding
  • To develop customer base to improve distribution and market share & volume
  • To monitor stock reports and movements on weekly basis to minimise lost of sales
  • To ensure effective budgetary control over sales expenses, returns and promotional expenses against sales target
  • Periodically, review to ensure product range within retail & food service sales channel are optimised and representative of the portfolio that OM carries
  • To analyse and submit competitor's activities and report whenever required
  • To conduct regular performance review for sales team to ensure performance is up to expectations
  • Other tasks as required, this job description is not exhaustive, and you may be required to perform other or additional reasonable duties and responsibilities from time to time, to meet changing business needs

To be successful you will need

  • At least 3 years' experience within the FMCG industry
  • As you will be required to liaise directly with suppliers in Asia, excellent written and spoken communication skills in either Mandarin &/or Dialect (Cantonese / Hokkien / Malay) will be an added advantage
  • Understanding of Asian cuisine and able to illustrate the usage of Asian Products
  • Tertiary qualifications and good track record of FMCG experience in Sales & Marketing
