Are you a whizz with numbers who is driven to provide amazing customer service? Let's talk We have a part time position available for an existing team member to step into Cashiers on a fixed-term secondment from December September 2026.

Mō te Tūranga | About the role:

The Cashier position is responsible for accurately performing a variety of cash handling processes including counting, cashing and balancing chips, cash, and foreign currency in compliance with our accounting and internal control policies and procedures. In addition, you will also be required to complete balance sheets, balance floats and process customer payouts.

This is a part time position working no less than 20 hours per week, as Friday and Saturday nights are our busiest periods, weekend availability will be essential. Full training is available, this is a great opportunity to expand your skillset in a new department under the guidance of a supportive and very highly experienced manager. This fixed term position will commence in December 2025 and conclude in September 2026.

• Fluency in English
• Excellent dexterity
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to stand for long periods of time

To be eligible to work as a Cashier at SkyCity Hamilton you must be 20 years of age or over, hold (or be able to obtain) a Certificate of Approval which entails passing a police check and credit check, and be able to pass basic numeracy and colour blindness tests. Cashiers work on a rotating shift pattern, including public holidays, nights and weekends.
