About us / Mō tatou
We are every-day people, helping our whānau and friends stay safe and healthy.
The Oxford Community Health Centre was originally founded by a local GP. In 2005, the Oxford Health Charity Trust was formed to govern our ongoing community health services and facilities. The volunteer Board Directors who manage the Trust recognise the need to provide a comprehensive medical service for the community. They are currently undertaking a project to build a new medical practice in Oxford which is anticipated to open in 2027.
As a rural community practice, we work hard to support our patients to get ahead and strive towards better health. We are patient-centred and believe in providing high quality, equitable care for our growing population. As part of our commitment to delivering outstanding patient care, we maintain a strong focus on our role as a teaching practice, providing support to trainee nurses, trainee interns, and registrars throughout the year.
We have recently successfully achieved our Cornerstone Bronze reaccreditation, which includes completion of the Equity and Continuous Quality Improvement modules.
We aim to recruit those who will support our values – We Care, We Relate, We Excel, We Communicate - and help provide a culturally safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
