Trade Butcher Position

Key responsibilities include:

• Administer customer service systems to ensure optimum customer satisfaction.
• To ensure production targets are obtained and quality standards maintained
• Administer quality assurance systems with special attention on temperature controls and hygiene procedures
• Supervise and communicate with apprentice butchers and butchery assistants to ensure efficient operation of the butchery department.
• Monitor deliveries ensuring correct stock arrives and quality meets store standards.
• Administer and supervise production constantly checking quality of cuts produced and standards of packing.
• Supervise presentation of the cabinet against store standards
• Ensure all equipment/machinery is used safely and maintained to required standards.
• Other duties that may be allocated as required.

Key Competencies required for the position are:

• Highly motivated with a passion for all things Butchery and customer service excellence 
• Good communication skills, both written and oral & strong numerical skills
• Honesty, Integrity & Reliability
• Hands on role – proactive team member 
• 2-3 years retail trade experience preferred

Days of work are Tuesday to Saturday
