ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Cloud Engineer to manage the core DevOps tools and drive the widespread adoption of DevOps practices throughout the organisation. You will lead automation initiatives, harness the power of AI to enhance infrastructure deployment , and shape the growth of the DevOps Engineering Capability. This role is pivotal for maintaining high quality of service.
RESPONSIBILITY
- Lead DevOps practices and initiatives across the organisation overseeing critical tools such as GitHub, Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, Packer, and Azure Kubernetes Service
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployment, testing, and monitoring
- Develop automation scripts using languages like Python, Shell, and PowerShell to streamline operational tasks and reduce manual intervention
- Leverage AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure components securely, including managing Azure Kubernetes Services/OpenShift clusters
- Contribute to the creation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), supporting the deployment of environments using automation tools and processes
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years' experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- A strong background in infrastructure design and management, including Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell, HCL) to create automation tasks, Pipelines/Workflows, Terraform Modules, and Ansible collections.
- Solid experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud).
- Demonstrated understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools.
- Relevant certifications are a benefit, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
