We are now recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join this close-knit team. Key to this role is helping clients get the most out of their finances, providing them with the understanding and information to make the best decisions for their business.

Sutcliffe Graham are super flexible with the how this role will look in terms of hours or whether you want full-time or require slightly reduced hours to suit your family requirements. The role can be a hybrid of working from home and in the office.

Responsibilities and skills, include:

  • Managing a group of clients
  • Produce financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.
  • Preparing GST returns and management accounts.
  • Communicating proactively with clients to understand their needs and ensuring expectations are met.
  • Undertake tax reviews and clearly communicate clients tax obligations including managing your own client base tax notices.
  • Be committed to thrive as a team and be engaged with our clients and invested in their success
  • Enjoy a laugh

The successful applicant will have the following background:

  • Experience in a New Zealand Private Practice firm (minimum of 3 years)
  • Confident, friendly, self-driven with the capability to work autonomously and stick to deadlines
  • Manage your client base to a high standard.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Experience using Xero.
