We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Lab Technician to join our Quality Assurance team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, analysing results, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance and durability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Record, analyze, and report test data in accordance with QA protocols
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and laboratory best practices
  • Ensure raw materials meet QAS requirements
  • Investigate and report on customer complaints
  • Investigate non-conformance materials and escalate
  • Conduct audits and testing to ensure compliance with technical and quality specifications, and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support decision-making and problem-solving

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a QA/QC laboratory environment (preferably in manufacturing or coatings)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality systems is a plus
  • A team player with a proactive and solution-focused mindset

Employment Terms

  • Full-time position based in Penrose, Auckland
  • Remuneration: $34.50 per hour
  • 42 hours average per fortnight

Rotating 2 week shift pattern:

  • Week 1 - Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm
  • Week 2 Monday to Thursday, 2pm–12am; Friday, 2pm–10pm
