Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dairy shop. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment and building strong relationships with customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Store Operations
  • Oversee daily store operations and ensure smooth running
  • Manage opening and closing procedures
  • Maintain store presentation and cleanliness standards
  • Handle cash management and daily banking
  • Staff Management
  • Supervise and schedule retail staff
  • Train new employees on procedures and customer service
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback
  • Ensure workplace health and safety compliance
  • Inventory & Stock Management
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering
  • Receive and organize deliveries
  • Implement stock rotation procedures
  • Minimize shrinkage and waste
  • Customer Service
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries
  • Build positive relationships with regular customers
  • Process transactions accurately using POS systems

Essential Requirements

  • Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2-3 years retail management experience
  • Experience with POS systems and cash handling
  • Strong numerical skills for stock and financial management
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Personal Attributes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Practical Requirements
  • Availability for varied shifts including weekends
  • Physical ability to lift stock and stand for extended periods
  • Valid work visa (if applicable)
  • Clean criminal background check

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous dairy/convenience store experience
  • Food handling certificate
  • First aid certification
  • Basic computer literacy
