Our Albany Stadium Pool & Leisure Centre has a fixed term/secondment opportunity (from 12 January 2026 to 19 October 2026) for a Team Leader Learn to Swim to play a key part in making the experience of those participating in our programme fun, safe and enjoyable.
You'll be on the pool-side coaching, developing & mentoring team members, and taking the lead on programming and quality lesson delivery. You'll also support the day-to-day operational running of the Learn to Swim programme, including swim teaching when needed, and providing great customer service and problem resolution for our visitors.
You will be working 40 hours per week, rostered over 7 days. The Swim School is a seven-day-per-week operation, therefore flexibility and commitment to working weekdays, weekends and rostered hours are paramount.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a recognised swim teacher qualification, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to high-quality instruction. A minimum of two years' experience teaching swimming is essential, ensuring you have developed effective teaching strategies and a solid understanding of learner needs.
Your experience should also include delivering swimming lessons to individuals across a wide range of ages and abilities, enabling you to adapt your teaching approach to suit diverse learning requirements.
