Maintenance Electrician

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Electrician to join the team at Opal Kiwi Packaging NZ. Based in Auckland, this is a great opportunity to become part of a leading packaging manufacturer with a strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

As a Maintenance Electrician to, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our electrical systems and production equipment. You'll be responsible for diagnosing faults, conducting repairs, carrying out preventive maintenance, and supporting plant upgrades. Your work will help us maintain high operational efficiency and minimise downtime across our site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults across a range of machinery and systems
• Perform scheduled maintenance and safety checks
• Support installations and upgrades of equipment
• Work closely with the production team to ensure equipment reliability
• Ensure all work is completed in line with safety standards and compliance requirements

About You:

• Ability to work afternoon shift 3:30pm - 11:30pm Mon-Fri
• Registered Electrician with a current EWRB practising license
• Proven experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally in manufacturing
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to fault finding
• Good understanding of PLCs, motors, drives, and automation systems
